Bedfordshire and Luton Business Excellence Awards Review

The 19th Annual Bedfordshire & Luton Rising Stars Business Excellence Awards 2012, brought to you by Premier Newspapers in association with Barclays, took place on Thursday 8th November 2012 at the Bedford Corn Exchange. Guests enjoyed a champagne reception, a three-course meal with wine, and were entertainment by this year's celebrity host ‘Show Me the Funny' winner Patrick Monahan.

The Event and the Results

Whilst congratulations go to the winners on the evening, our thanks go to everyone that participated in making it another very good event and also to Premier Newspapers and Barclays for their continued involvement in the awards event.

For me, the change in venue to the Corn Exchange was a success and the so deserved Lifetime Award to Bill Jordan, from Jordans Cereals, was a perfect end to the evening.

So the planning starts for 2013 awards and to anyone interested in being involved with the team, then please get in touch with the organisers or myself.

Congratulations to:

Fairies and Frogs this years New Business of the Year winner.

Well done to Crannull Consulting who took the Highly Commended place.

and to

The Play Doctors this year's Enterprising Organisation of the Year winner.

Well done to Mohammed Nadeem and the Luton Bury-Park Business Community for taking the Highly Commended place.

Winner Fairies and Frogs

Highly Commended Crannull Consulting

Winner Bill Jordan

An amazing ticket-winning coincidence had the audience gasping at the event too... Charles Little, who last year had paid for a bicycle in an auction for the East Anglian Air Ambulance, this year won one in the raffle! He decided to put the ladies bike up for auction, making £250 for the worthy cause. It was won by the directors of Luton company, Hayward Tyler. The bike from 2011 is still sitting in our office!

Lastly, here are all the Finalists and Winners!
